From the time time began
You always chose a man
To lead the people safely by Your Way
To be a voice and echo what You Say
Like David or Abraham
Your Word is full of such men
And if the Bible had no closing page
And still was being written to this day
I want to be a man that you would write about
Oh a thousand years from now, that they could read about
Your servant of choice in whom You found favor
A man who heard Your voice
Generations away it is my prayer
That they will look back and say
Oh to have that kind of faith and love
What a solid man of God he was.

Ten Things I Wish I Could Say to Ten Different People.
10. I wish I could have told you how beautiful you are, and that you are created in the very likeness of the Lord. I tried to tell you, but your pride and unbelief shut me down. But I haven't given up, I am praying for more opportunities either for me, or someone else. I know you don't understand me, and maybe even dislike me, and that's ok...it was never about me.
9. I wish I could tell you once more how much I loved you. I know I got to before you died, but I would give anything for one more conversation with you. I so look forward to being reconciled in heaven, dad.
8. I am sorry I put you on a pedestal, it was so unfair for me; our friendship suffered so much because of it. I still love you and am thankful for all the fun times.
7. I would give anything to be able to tell you that there is more to life than the things you hide behind. I love you but cannot play your game. I tried, even tried to open you up a little bit. I know that there is SO much waiting for you, and will be praying that you allow the Lord into those secret crevices of your heart. We were never meant to carry such wounds...
6. I wish I could tell you everything that you will need to know once you face the world, sometimes I even panic alittle, wondering if I have prepared you enough for what lies ahead in your future. But the truth is, you are the Lord's and He's got you. He even gave me a dream of encouragement, you were swimming in the sea, completely free and unafraid! The sea represents the Spirit, and you are ready! I love you.
5. You know, I see through the bravado you put off...the airs of false wisdom, but you know what? I LOVE you, and am praying for true wisdom to be bourne in you, wisdom that only comes from the fire of testing. Painful, yes at times, but so necessary in order to be who we are called to be! Don't just talk it my friend, be DEVOTED to it; fight for it, and most importantly, BE it!
4. Please forgive me for my selfishness. My comfort was way more important than your life, and I am so sorry. I know you are way better off, but I stole everything from you. I will see you someday, I can't wait!
3. I have learned so much from you. I didn't understand this heartbeat inside of me until I got to know you and your life's calling. It has stirred me up, challenged me, and stretched me so much that I thought I would die! But I am grateful! I can't tell you this right now, but maybe someday.
2. How you treat me hurts. But I choose to love anyway because it's not about my feelings, and I won't be driven by them.
1. I will.

אני אהוב שלי ואהוב שלי שלי
So, I took this "what era fits your personality" type of quiz thing on Facebook and this was the result: 1940's Era Kind of Gal.
"You are the ultimate romantic at heart. You put a high priority on true love, patriotism, and dedication to honor and duty. Whether it be serving your country or serving your family, you have a very hard work-ethic balanced out by your whimsical, dreamy heart. You are willing to take risks, go where no one has gone before, and you have a sense of pride in everything you do. Just as you are in touch with your inner beauty, you also give just the right amount of focus on your outer beauty-- standing out with the latest fashions and getting in touch with your sensual side. Your sexiness is not scandalous but rather classy and poised. You are the envy of those around you because no matter how much tough work you have to do, you keep a smile and look good while doing it.."
It is interesting because it somewhat describes me...don't know about the sensual, sexy thing, or wearing the latest fashions...unless they mean the latest in flipflops??? Anyway, it made me think about why I love that era so much. I mean, all the best movies were made in the 40's, and it was a historical treasure chest...I mean this is when the greatest generation proved themselves to the world, their families and to each other! This portrays the patriotic, serving your country and family and hard work ethic side of me.
Then there is the side of me that used to weep and ask the Lord why couldn't I have lived in that generation; a generation that took things seriously, like dedication to one's family, to each other; who looked out for their fellow man? Or where a man fell in love with a woman, and through thick and thin, stayed true to her and honored her? Where men fell in love, and when the passion wore off, chose to love anyway because they knew that love wasn't just a feeling, but a commitment he made before God and his best gal? While this generation went through hard times, they made it seem easy. Maybe this is the dreamy, whimsical side of me...having never experienced what I described above. Funny, after 42 years, this girlish desire that is still within my heart.
I am dreaming of simpler times I guess, knowing full well that I am here now in this place at the appointed time. The longing in my heart is submitted to the Lord, for Him to do with whatever He chooses, if anything. Just as I wrote in the title of this post (in Hebrew), I am to my Beloved as my Beloved is to me.

We're all in this together.....
Been a long time coming, but here's an update! Life has been really busy, and I have been in a season of "....suddenly" moments. You know, those moments that the Lord has whispered into your heart; things that you never thought would ever come to pass? Not that I would have seen things happen the way they did, though. My ways of thinking are so far below the ways of the Lord. His way is always much deeper and much better.
I am in a new positon of leadership that has opened the door to teaching others about prayer, hearing God and the prophetic. These all go hand in hand, actually. I am walking in a new level of favor, and the more the Lord pours out on me the more I realize that I am NOTHING without Him. I know I have a short time here to do what He's called me to do, and to learn what He's called me to learn.
On New Year's Eve, as the old year was coming to a close, the Lord told me that He had given me a year off. Once I realized what He was saying, I began to cry and thank Him for His mercy on me for giving me that rest before the days ahead. The seriousness of this new season wasn't lost on me.
I am also working now for an international bank doing research and project management for the mortgage/special loans division. It will take about a year to be fully trained, and believe me, the last week was intense on the training! I have met a lot of diverse people on my team. I asked one guy what brought him to Florida and he told me that he was working at a travel agency in New York City, underneath the World Trade Center and after 9/11 he lost his job. He actually called in sick that day, a move that saved his life. He is still shook up about it, too. He was on his balcony across the river and saw the towers fall. Nice guy...
We also have an addition to our family. One of our new worship guys needed a home, so he moved in this week. He's a Hillsong school of worship grad, and a neat kid. It's awesome to hear him and Steve "jamming" together. I think Pastor Chris knew that Josh would be a good influence on Steve and that is why he steered him our way. Chris has great discernment that way!
Angie came to visit, and we had a great time. She got to meet everyone here and we had some great times with the Lord. It was good to see her and to see Bill as well. Steve was gone for Christmas and New Years, but I did spend Christmas with my friend Jill and her extended family. I got to see an alligator and a 2 foot wide soft shell turtle! I actually hand fed the turtle...this freaked me out a little bit! Here's a picture of one:
href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYVUFaeE8y7kweWp-eSJexMGamvrorjO-LgrPTmgDBw8abhT5L9_dGh6peF9d3G8PTfJv99h122fIANvWU-ze9vbn9gVpALq5YDrQO-g5bh9YcNCtbJ_h3k2uvZZYjcP1-VynTFXPyHaQ/s1600-h/Lady+the+turtle.jpg">
They can either be very tame or very aggressive in the wild. They have named her lady and whenever you go out into the back yard, she comes out of the water onto the bank to be fed! Her neck was about a foot long when it was stretched out! Especially when I held out some bread to her....have I mentioned that I love it here???

Yet another update.....
Greetings from sunny Florida! I must say I am enjoying the weather, although I do miss the snow! Doesn't quite seem like Christmas time when it's 75 degrees out and sunny!
Yesterday was the annual Christmas Tea at Baylife Church. It was a formal tea and there were finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam (sounds gross, but was actually quite yummy), and many varieties of tea. There was a play presented by the Baylife drama troupe -- it was very funny, but made me miss Randy and his creative genius! There were door prizes galore and it was just an old fashioned good time. Here are some pictures:

The first picture are of my two friends, Jill and Joy. They were table hostesses and decorated our table. The next two are pictures of the table itself. They did a beautiful job! Much of the decorations were from our antique excursions. Jill and Joy were two of the first ladies that I met at Baylife. We are all great friends and I am so thankful for them! Their families are my family here :)
I was asked to lead the Prayer Ministry at Baylife Riverview. The Lord has been preparing me for this for some time, and when my pastor asked me to do this I knew that this was the time. I am excited about this and am very thankful for the way the Lord prepared me and confirmed it. It's humbling and exciting at the same time.
I have an interview tomorrow with a Bank...we'll see what happens. I want to be where the Lord wants me. Would you mind praying for me? Tuesday, it's off the airforce base to pick up a Christmas tree for my friend, Ro. Another one of my friends, Michelle, is an Army wife whose husband just got deployed to the middle east. The military is giving military families free live trees, and Michelle already had one, so she is giving her tree to Ro. It will be fun to get out of the house and go on an adventure of sorts! And I LOVE being on a military base....weird, I know, but it's in my blood I guess as a veteran!
Steve is doing well, just getting over a cold. He has exams next week, but only has to take a couple because of his GPA and attendance, quite a change from last year. He auditioned for the worship band at church and made it, and will begin practising this week! He also leads worship for my wednesday night lifegroup. Pretty proud of that kid, I must say!
Oh, last but not least, Angie is coming to stay for a week after Christmas! I can hardly wait to see her and introduce her to everyone here and just visit! And just to go sit on the beach somewhere! I can see her dancing on the beach, but don't tell her that! haha It's a set-up!

Florida, lately.....
It's been awhile since I have shared an update...here it goes....
Had a great Thanksgiving weekend; we were invited to spend Thanksgiving dinner with my friends Jill and Jeff Aubin. Their family of six and my two made for an interesting and fun time. It included Steve jumping into their pool! In Florida that isn't such a big deal, but it has been barely over 70 degrees over the past several weeks and the pool isn't heated....I am so surprised that the police didn't show up after Steve screamed....just like a little girl! It was SO funny!
They live in a gated, golf course community - right on the thirteenth hole and there is a pond in the back. It is complete with fish, numerous water fowl, fish and an alligator. Oh, and can't forget the otter! I pray every time we go there that Steve will not end up in that pond! He and their kids end up around it and in the woods everytime we go. Fun times :)
Steve and I had a gift card to Chipotle (thank you, Ticknor family!) and since there are no Chipotle's around the Riverview/Brandon area, we took a day trip to Clearwater for dinner and to see the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. I took a bunch of pictures, and will post them soon. It was absolutely beautiful! The sand was pure white, and the waves were two feet or so...we kicked off the flip-flops and ran to the water....boy was it chilly! We had such a good time, and I am thankful that the Lord allowed us to move so close to such beautiful places!
Yesterday, on our way home from church, we saw another of our animal friends down here in Florida..........

Yep...an armadillo! It scurried across the road in front of us...we had seen several as road-kill, so it was a welcome site to see one...alive!
Steve is going to Minneapolis for Christmas and New Year's to visit with his Dad and Julie. He is really excited! I know, I will be here alone...but it's okay! Angie is coming to visit after Christmas and my friends will keep me busy! OK, OK....if you are having pity on me and you want to donate to my Bahama's fund, that's great! HAHA! I know, I'm dreaming...the Bahama's over Christmas, alone, suffering on the beach...sounds like torture..haha Lord???
